Planning Board
The Hinsdale Planning Board consists of five elected members, each serving a three-year term.
The Board meets on third Tuesday of each month starting at 6:00 p.m. in the Hinsdale Town Hall unless otherwise posted.
It is the responsibility of the planning board to review proposals for development. In addition the planning board prepares recommendations on how to best make use of the land within the borders of Hinsdale. These recommendations are formalized in the Town’s zoning ordinance, site plan review regulations, subdivision regulations, and in the master plan. This board can also hear proposals on an informal basis should an applicant want to “test the waters” to see what may be required of a potential development project.
