The Hinsdale Community Recreation Committee is proud to have served the residents of Hinsdale since 1942. The goal of this committee is to promote recreation for the youth in the Town of Hinsdale including sports programming, summer camp, Girls on the Run, Heart & Sole, and the Hinsdale Municipal Pool as well as to promote and create community events and programming for the citizens of the Town of Hinsdale.

Started by private citizens in 2014, the Hinsdale Farmers Market was incorporated into Hinsdale Parks and Recreation in 2017.
All along the mission of the market has been to create the opportunity for people to buy locally grown and produced products while supporting a vibrant downtown.
The Hinsdale Farmers Market operates on Saturdays May through October from 9am-1pm in downtown Hinsdale at the Millstream Riverfront Park.

As a sub-committee of Hinsdale Parks and Recreation, the Hinsdale Beautification Committee (HBC) strives to bring people together through a variety of community building efforts, including:
Classes: floral arrangements, paint nights, sign and wine
Events: Art in the Park Festival, Fall Festival, Tree Lighting / Holiday Lights, Trunk or Treat, The Night Before The Fourth
Beautification of Hinsdale: Flower barrels and baskets, plantings around the town properties, and seasonal decorations.
The Beautification Committee meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00pm at the Millstream Community Center. Meetings are open to anyone who would like to attend. There will be no Committee meeting in February or August of 2026.
