54 Canal Street Demolition Update

The Town has asked Invest NH to extend the grant past December 2025 and has provided Invest NH with documents to support the request. The Town will, on an expedited basis, provide Invest NH any additional information it may require. The contractor is fully aware that the grant will expire in December, if it is not extended, and the Town has reserved its rights under the contract.  The contractor has assured the Town that it is working closely with DES and that the asbestos remediation work can be completed by December 1. That would leave some portion of the property still to be demolished next year. We will provide additional information as it becomes available.
