Welcome to the Hinsdale Police Department: 

The Hinsdale Police Department would like to welcome our new School Resource Officer James Carmichael. Officer Carmichael comes to our department with more than 31 years of law enforcement experience. Officer Carmichael began his Law Enforcement Career with Amherst Mass Police Department before joining Mass State Police in 2000. Officer Carmichael has 16 years of experience working in school safety with Mass State Police as well as with The Franklin County Sheriff's Office. During his time working with various schools, he assisted with safety planning, site surveys and staff training.
