Clock Tower Repairs

The clock hands on the Town Hall have deteriorated over time. Today, Devanza Clocks and Valley Restoration arrived to begin the process of renovating the clock tower. The first step was to gain access to the area and remove the wooden clock hands. The wooden clock hands have become a frequent resting place for pigeons, especially at 9 and 3 o'clock. The pictures show the damage caused by the pigeons' claws and droppings. The new clock hands will be made of aluminum and will function properly for many years. Over the next few months, there will be some activity around the clock tower as we strive to display accurate time on all clock faces. We hope that residents and passersby of Hinsdale will appreciate the beautiful Town Hall Clock that keeps time for the community.
