Town Government

The Town of Hinsdale's form of government is Town Meeting/Board of Selectmen.  The voters of Hinsdale meet annually on the second Tuesday in March to vote on local officials, set budgets for the Town's operation and decide on other issues.  The Board of Selectmen meet weekly and manage the affairs of the town.

The Town of Hinsdale has a Budget Committee consisting of elected officials too.  This committee assists in the development and presentation of the budget to the voters.  The budget committee meets on a monthly basis to review the town's revenues, expenditures, and to develop the budget for the coming year.

The Planning Board and Zoning Board of Adjustment consist of members that are elected.  They meet monthly to address land use matters such as subdivisions, site plan review for commercial/industrial projects, and variances.
